How to Book Your Rental
Right before you book your car rental I would suggest checking the Road Trip Planner out. Here they give you a chance to plan your road trip with a few driving guides.
Once you arrive to the Auto Europe website, you will be immediately arrive to the front cover page. To the left there is a small button which states, “Find your car Rental Here.” You will choose your pick up location, whether you would like to drop off that vehicle at a different location than where you will be pick it up, the pick up date and time, drop off date and time, and transmission type, and finally you will hit the search button.
You will be prompted to another page where you can make the selection of the vehicles that are available for the time and date of your rental. The prices will include the amount of miles you can put on the car rental during that time, if tax is added into the equation already, gas requirements and rate details. You can click on any of the links stated above in order to get a deeper description of the price inclusions. You can even choose optional equipment for your car rental needs. Optional equipment include infant, child, booster seats, GPS, and ski racks.
You will land on a third page once you click the select button. You will be prompted to a page where you can select your insurance coverage in order to protect yourself from theft or any damages to your car rental. You then will be sent to another page in which you will provide Contact Information, name, age, telephone number, email address, etc. Payment information will also be on this page. They take major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Drivers Club, and Discover Cards. Lastly you will have to read terms and conditions and submit payment. You will get a confirmation email within 20 minutes and your car rental will be ready to go.
Ready-To-Go Pick Up Guarantee
These guys are one of the best car rental companies out there. They offer the ready-to-go pick up guarantee. This guarantee states that if your rental is not ready to go within 60 minutes from the times you show up to the check-in counter, they will pay, in full, for your car rental.
One of the key things you must do as you arrive to the check in counter is to notify Auto Europe by phone while at the counter. Calling will ensure that the ready-to-go pick up guarantee is established. Calling it in will start the timer, as many would say, in order for the 60 minutes to begin and will give Auto Europe the chance to check to see if, in fact, your rental is not ready. Once they check to see if the vehicle is not ready, the clock will begin to tick.
Another thing customers must ensure is that they arrive to the counter at the time that is indicated by the voucher you receive. DO NOT show up earlier nor later than the time that is specified or it will void the guarantee. The guarantee will only cover up to $250.00 of a rental. Any dollar amount above that will not be covered.

Changes and Cancellations
If you end up booking your car rental and something ends up changing in your plans, you can most definitely can change it. The customer will have to contact Auto Europe before the end of the rental period in order to do so. You will be charged the difference from the original cost of your booking or be given a refund if the amount is less than the original booking.
Cancellations are acceptable and there will be no fee charged if and only if you contact Auto Europe directly through phone more than 48 hours before your schedule pickup time and date. If you are at less than 48 hours before your rental a $75 dollar fee will be charged to you. Definitely keep track of the time and date of your rental in order for you to have the smoothest and best experience you can.
I would recommend at least calling to cancel even if it is within the 48 hours that Auto Europe gives you, because if you do not cancel and do not show up, you will automatically be charged for the full amount of your car rental. A $75 dollar charge is much better than the full amount if it exceeds this amount. Definitely something to keep in mind is that their representatives are always there for you 24/7.
Insurance
Insurance is a must. You must choose from a few options of car insurance coverage. The insurance rules are as basic as your regular car insurance. Customers can get additional coverage for your personal belongings, fire liability, and third party liability, and insurance with smaller deductibles.
Auto Europe Provides you with a Basic Car Rental Insurance. This Basic Car Rental Insurance will cover any damage done to people and things outside of the car rental and damage done by mechanical fires to the vehicle.
Inclusive European Car Rental Insurance covers and reduces your the amount you pay out of pocket for your deductible. You will be provided with collision damage protection which protects any damage that occurs during a car accident and theft protection just in case your rental is stolen.
You can also get add-ons into your insurance packages. Some of these add-ons include a personal effects coverage package which will cover any possessions you have with you while you’re traveling.
